Teen Leadership
The Teen Leadership Retreat is for youth ages 13-17 with a bleeding disorder, carriers, and their age appropriate siblings. Two main objectives have been developed to fit the specific needs of youth and adolescents in the bleeding disorder community. The first program objective will focus on increasing self-efficacy, confidence, and courage so that individuals feel increasingly able to accomplish identified goals in their life. The second program objective focuses on individuals taking more personal responsibility for themselves and their self-care through seizing the opportunities that they are handed in life and realizing the power that they have to accomplish their goals.
Parents Empowering Parents (PEP)
PEP is an opportunity for parents to communicate with each other as they begin to raise their children. It is all about communication. PEP is for any parent that has a child or any child that is trying to understand their parent. PEP gives you a true sense of understanding for each other. PEP taps into your inner child and teaches you about realistic goals for your children and yourself. PEP will give you your own personal view, teaches you about active listening, thinking about what you say before you say it, and how your thoughts and feelings affect others. PEP will change your life.
